It’s PGA Merchandise Show Week and the buzz is beginning to build. What will be the break out products for 2011? What new announcements will be made?

EWGA will introduce a new program at the show called “EWGA Golf PROmotion” to help LPGA and PGA golf professionals promote their business and services to EWGA members. It’s free advertising for professionals and their businesses and it’s simple.

Professionals complete a brief registration form (EWGA Booth # 4363) to be promoted on the public website http://www.ewga.com and within the members only http://www.myewga.com site. In return, professionals are provided with EWGA promotional materials and asked to promote membership in the EWGA at their facilities.

This is a win-win opportunity giving LPGA and PGA golf professionals a chance to showcase their expertise on a nationwide online platform that gets thousands of visits each week.

For more information on the EWGA Golf PROmotion program see the EWGA at the PGA Merchandise Show in Booth # 4363 or send an email to golfprograms@myewga.com

Golf Industry’s Most Influential Business Platform Takes Center Stage

Next week is the annual PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando. The Orange County Convention Center will be filled with the who’s who of golf. And EWGA will be there! We will be exhibiting, networking, speaking, educating — and most importantly connecting.

More than 40,000 attendees will participate in the four day event. Over 1,000 exhibitors will be there with every business sector of the golf market represented as well as start-up companies. This Show has evolved into a comprehensive multi-purpose business platform. That’s why it’s a must for any organization to have a presence there and for EWGA it’s a great way to connect with business leaders, sponsors, manufacturers and other allied partners from coast to coast that support our goals.

My schedule is jam packed including:
- Attending the Golf 20/20 Executive Committee Meeting which I am a member
- Participating in the Get Golf Ready Annual Report session of which I have been on the committee since it’s inception
- Hosting EWGA’s 4th annual Movers & Shakers Breakfast presented by Reynolds Plantation on Friday morning with LPGA Commissioner Mike Whan as the featured speaker.
- Emceeing and sharing EWGA’s advocacy message on the new Fair Way Forward™ Program on the Main Equipment Stage Friday afternoon during the session called “Putting Yourself in Her Shoes: A Playbook for a Winning 2011 Season”.

Joining me will be a group of distinguished industry colleagues: Barb Kauffman, President, Kauffman & Associates; Kathy O’Neal, Senior VP from ClubCorp; Diane Davis, PGA and 2010 North Florida Merchandiser of the Year, Walt Disney World; Katherine Roberts, Founder and President, YogaForGolfers; Arthur Little, Senior Trustee, The Little Family Foundation; Jan Beljan, Owner and designer of Jan Beljan Golf Course Design; Cheryl Anderson, PGA, LPGA – 2006 Teacher of the Year, Mike Bender Golf Academy and LeAnn Finger, National Promotions Specialist, PGA of America.

In addition, EWGA will exhibit at Booth #4363 throughout the four days. So, if you’re attending, stop by and say hello!
