What an exciting week for golf. Yes, the U.S. Open is being played at Bethpage Black this week. But how about the exciting announcement from the USGA that the 2014 U.S. Open and the U.S. Women’s Open will be played in consecutive weeks on Pinehurst No. 2? This is thrilling news for golf fans everywhere. And for the EWGA – we too are returning to this wonderful, picturesque historic venue; American Golf’s National Landmark in 2010.

EWGA members will get an fabulous inside the ropes experience when the EWGA Conference heads to the Pinehurst Resort, April 7-10, 2010. Imagine walking down the fairways of Pinehurst No. 2 and truly experiencing what the best golfers in the world will face. If Pinehurst isn’t on your bucket list – it should be. The experience is priceless. And what a great boost for Women’s Golf as well!

As Carolyn Bivens, LPGA Commissioner stated, “We’re thrilled by the USGA’s decision to stage the 2014 U.S. Open and U.S. Women’s Open in consecutive weeks on the same golf course, Pinehurst No. 2. It’s truly a historic moment for the sport of golf. LPGA golfers will play a major championship on one of our sport’s most renowned courses a week following the men’s U.S. Open, providing a rare opportunity for fans, media and our partners to literally enjoy the best-and-the-best in this first-ever dual-Open format.”
